Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz and R&B for a distinctive mixture. She has performed on Broadway, in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine Her real name is Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta the place she was raised is Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church where she sang and played piano. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training in Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You A House 12, came out only in Japan. It has been remixed many times, and is the mainstay of her live shows. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) approached her for a position as choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
